Government websites should work for the people they serve

BRINCS — Building Resilience in Nigeria's Civil Service — is a student-led governance project that helps Nigeria's public institutions deliver digital services citizens can actually find, trust, and use.

The problem, in one breath

A website is not a service.

Across Nigeria, governments have invested in websites, portals and apps. But a platform only counts as public service when a citizen can complete what they came to do — apply for a document, pay a fee, report a problem — and get a response.

BRINCS exists to close that gap: between platforms that exist, and platforms that work.

What we do

What BRINCS does

BUILD

We build practical digital tools for the civil service — starting with an E-Recruitment platform for the Federal Civil Service Commission.

EVALUATE

We assess government digital platforms against one consistent, evidence-based standard — covering usability, security, accessibility and citizen feedback.

HAND OVER

Every cohort documents its work so the next one — and government itself — can pick it up and carry it further.

The relay

Built to be handed on

BRINCS is not a one-year project that ends at graduation. It is a relay. Each SPPG cohort inherits the work of the last, adds to it, and passes it forward — so the value compounds instead of restarting.

2023

Cohort 1 digitalised recruitment at the Federal Civil Service Commission.

2026

Cohort 2 took the mission to the states, evaluating Anambra's digital platforms end to end.

NEXT

A future cohort takes the baton. Maybe yours.

Explore our legacy

Resilient institutions outlast the people who build them.
That's the test we hold ourselves to — and the one we help government meet.
